I'm Every Woman

The Naked Truth show was held as a silent auction at Government House in Nassau, Bahamas. 30 Bahamian artists were each given a plaster of paris bust of a woman and asked to decorate it in a style of their choice.  All proceeds from the auction were donated in aid of breast cancer awareness in the Bahamas.

My bust was inspired by and dedicated to my niece Carrie who was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 28  and who inspired us all with her positive attitude and courage. Today she is cancer free and living life to the fullest.  I used various colored pearls and ethnic beads and stones to decorate my form to represent women from all ethnic and cultural backgrounds. The message represented by gold charms forming a necklace is positve "love, laugh, hope, inspire, live" and it goes out to all cancer survivors and to all of those warriors  who are still in the midst of the battle.
